Hello! I’m really glad to be here with you today because as we’ve been doing over the last several weeks, I’ve been going back through my decade-plus blog and pulling out blog posts that are interesting to me or have a theme or have been popular posts that a lot of people have visited.

And we were talking for a while about birds and their shamanic meanings and animal symbolism meanings of birds, particularly as it related to our psychic senses and opening those senses for ourselves.

And I want to shift gears now and start doing a series of posts with you about crystals. Because while it is true that I’ve used them before in my personal life repeatedly, since I was a little girl (I was always the one that collected rocks in a shoe box and put it under my bed, I’m sure many of you can relate.), there are many clients of mine over the years that have used crystals in their personal lives and they have come to classes where I thought about crystals and I’ve certainly even used crystals in some of my session work at various points in my career.

So, I thought it would be nice for us to take a look at some of this writing and do some more learning and deepening of our knowledge about crystals.

So, first up is this understanding about the size of crystals. In fact, this is called Crystal Size Doesn’t Matter.

There is a misnomer out there (in this, the land of the super-size everything) that the larger the crystal, the more powerful it is.

This is simply NOT TRUE!

When working with a crystal it is NOT important how large it is but rather, how it feels for the person working with it. So often, people think they need to have the biggest, grandest, most sparkly crystal for it to work strongly on an energetic level.

For example, when I was first introduced to crystals through a friend of a family member, the most powerful stone in his collection made me want to cry and my body buzzed all over, before he even opened his hand to show it to me. It was a very tiny blue stone, I don’t even remember the name of it, and it fit into the palm of his hand.
I wish I had a picture of it… I can still remember the feeling I got all those years ago!

Small as a pebble- very powerful energy.
