Client & Class Participant Policies

Client & Class Participant Responsibilities

Payment
Payment in full is due before the time of your session or class as part of your booking / registration process. All major credit/debit cards are accepted for payment.

Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time for your session or class, both in the office and online. Laura is not always able to extend the time of your session or class on the back end. Arriving later than 15 minutes to a session will result in a rescheduling of the session and a charge in full for the missed session. Late arrivals to classes will miss content that will not be made up.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations create a significant impact on Laura’s business due to its intimate size. If a cancellation is necessary, up to 12 hour prior notice is required for any sessions or classes that cannot be kept. Payment in full is required for any missed sessions or classes at all times. You will be charged for your missed appointment or class.

Time Zone
All sessions take place during Eastern Standard Time, from the Boston / Cambridge area of Massachusetts in the USA. If you live outside this timezone, it is up to you to convert the time accordingly.

Recording Your Session
Because Laura works with hundreds of clients internationally, she is no longer able to offer recordings from her end, due to the volume of storage and varying technology access points they have.

With that said, clients are welcome to do one of three things to record on their own during their session:

1.Online via zoom: from a computer you can press the record button at any time during the session. At the end of the session it will ask you to save the recording to your device. (Please note: this is not an option if zoom is being used on a smartphone or tablet.)

2.Take notes with a notepad and writing utensil.

3.Use your own phone recording app to record the session.

Practitioner Responsibilities

Laura or someone from her customer support team will return emails as soon as possible.

Clients and class participants are fully clothed at all times and properly covered with draping if desired for all sessions and classes as warranted.

Laura adheres to all ethical guidelines set forth by the International Center for Reiki Training when practicing and teaching Reiki. She adheres to the National HIPAA Privacy Rule during herbal wellness consultations.

If Laura needs to cancel an appointment, she will do so with at least 24 hour notice, if at all possible. If an emergency arises and she cannot give 24 hour notice, she will apply a 50% discount to your rescheduled session, provided the rescheduled session is completed within 30 days of the original appointment.

Laura keeps accurate records of all sessions and maintains client confidentiality at all times.

The contact email you give will be added to Laura’s newsletter list.

Affiliate Disclaimer

Some posts on the Divine Lotus Healing blog and some product highlights in the online shop contain affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links and then make a purchase, I will receive a small monetary compensation, at no cost to you. I try to only recommend items I’ve personally used or know about so you get high quality, reliable resources at your fingertips. By making a purchase through my links, you are helping to keep my cost overhead for running my blog down. It’s also a nice, indirect, pay-it-forward way to show your love to a small, indie owned business. Thanks much and Namaste!
