This is the essential foundation for your journey with Reiki. Shoden, meaning “beginner teachings,” introduces you to the traditional Japanese meditations and practices that form the basis of energy work.
In this immersive experience, you will move beyond modern interpretations to connect with Reiki’s original 1920s roots. Blending a grounded Buddhist perspective with my 15+ years of spiritual and clinical awareness, I teach you how to move from curiosity to confidence. Upon completion, you will be fully prepared to practice Reiki on yourself and your loved ones.

Prerequisites for Level One: There are no prior requirements. This class is designed as your entry point into the system, welcoming both those new to energy work and experienced practitioners seeking a traditional Japanese foundation.

Preparation & Attire: For our Cambridge Studio sessions, please arrive 10-15 minutes early to settle in. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a notebook; all other clinical materials and manuals will be provided for you.

Nourishment & Hydration: To maintain the focus and integrity of our practice space, please bring a covered water bottle. For lunch, you are welcome to explore local dining options or bring your own meal to be kept in your personal container.

The Virtual Learning Environment: Our online Shoden classes are conducted via high-definition, pre-recorded video within my private Teachable school. This on-demand format allows you to move through the sacred symbols and “inner” teachings at your own pace. Note: All live class students are automatically granted lifetime access to this digital portal for continued integration and review.
